Hair competitions are one of the best ways to fuel one’s passion for this great industry of ours. Competitions give young student designers—our industry’s up-and-coming talent—a platform to express themselves, exposure to professionals, and a front-row seat to all the possibilities a career in hair design has to offer. To support future generations of hair designers in their competitive experience, Pivot Point has a global team of competition trainers and mentors, including international champions and OMC artistic directors Joakim Roos and Manuel Rodriguez. They assist and guide student competitors to have the most valuable competition experience possible.

Quality mannequins are another key to student competitions, and Pivot Point has a 50-year tradition of providing superior quality mannequins to schools, competitions, and the entire hair industry. OMC has approved the Pivot Point mannequins you see here for competition use. We continually update our mannequin and hairpiece offerings to meet OMC’s changing standards. Because our international team remains closely involved in competitor training, we know what works and can innovate and improve our mannequins to produce the best competing model in the market.

Each of these competition mannequins takes approximately 50 to 60 hours of intensive hand labor to produce and incorporates Pivot Point’s strict standards of quality.
