Director, Strategic Alliances

The role of Director of Strategic Alliances is to develop and execute partnership strategies with named and targeted alliances within and outside of the Beauty Industry. This includes developing approved Go-To-Market joint solutions and initiatives with and through strategic partnerships, in alignment with the PPII Sales and Marketing teams. Ensure partners are mapped based on their strengths. The main focus is to help drive incremental revenues in line with the PPII strategic business plan. Provide Sales support to the Alliance Partner either directly or indirectly.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to own and drive the pipeline with strategic Alliance Partners.
  • Drive the integration of the Partner customer facing organization with the PPII customer facing organization on clients to drive the pipeline.
  • Work with PPII Sales organization, Professional Services, Marketing and Education & Research to support the process of creating approved PPII initiatives and executing upon them.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationship with Partner sales executives, marketing teams, industry and delivery teams.
  • Work with global alliances team to build the application and industry partner map
  • Develop a joint PPII execution plan by region that is signed off at executive levels on both sides
  • Drive and monitor the progress of the execution of the PPII roll-out process.
  • Work with Sales and Alliance Partner team to manage/ resolve problem escalation
  • Participate in the development and execution of events in accounts to promote business, brand and strategy across the region
  • Support new product launches and promotions
  • Deliver exceptional results with regard to profit and in adherence to budget
  • Project a positive, professional image at all times
  • Attends industry related, PPI supported shows, events as mandated

Network Engineer

Evanston, IL

Seeking a Network Engineer to manage a 150 node network in Evanston, IL.This position will be responsible for managing network infrastructure, including Windows and Macintosh servers, Exchange, SMS, VMware ESX, firewalls, routers, switches, and various monitoring, management, and security tools.This position will also assist in the support and troubleshooting of Mac and Windows desktops.  We are seeking candidates with 5+ years of experience as a Network Engineer, working with a variety of common concepts, practices, and procedures related to Windows servers, Directory Services, network equipment, and security.The ideal candidate will rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals,perform a variety of complicated tasks, andcross-train and mentor Desktop Administrators.

Network Engineer Requirements:           

  • Bachelor Degree preferred.
  • Certifications: Current A+ and MCSE certifications or equivalent experience.
  • Must have strong understanding of MS Exchange, Active Directory, and Windows Servers..
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience as a Network Engineer or equivalent experience with design, implementation, configuration, and support of network operating systems, infrastructure, and directory services in a multi-server/multi-site environment.
  • Must have experience managing Macintosh servers and X-Raid systems.
  • Terminal Server/Citrix, Firewall, VMware server and Macintosh experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with network management, deployment, and monitoring tools such as WSUS, Ghost, Systems Insight Manager, etc. preferred.
  • Must have a high level of analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and prompt decision-making ability, responsibility and accountability.This includes having an excellent service and solution oriented focus. Must be self-motivated and able to prioritize tasks independently in fast-paced environment.
  • Travel within Chicago area to remote offices.
  • Ability to work occasional extended hours, including either after-hours during weekdays and some weekends as needed.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide problem diagnosis and resolution for hardware and software related problems as required, in a timely and accurate way, while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and participate in ongoing, proactive support, including optimization and scheduled maintenance.

Job responsibilities include offering resume and interview skills counseling to a diverse student population, organizing Career Services events such as job fairs and alumni gatherings, maintaining the Corporate Alumni database, tracking information from recent graduates, touring spa and salon facilities, maintaining a database of potential employers for our graduates in the Chicago-land area, and maintaining the Career Services website. Information Technology – Project Manager

Evanston, IL

Pivot Point International, Inc., the world leader in hair and beauty education, is currently seeking a full time Project Manager.  The Project Manager will provide project management leadership in the area of ERP implementation, E-Commerce, E-Learning and various IT projects.  The position will work closely with the Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, Finance, H/R and outsourced IT resources, provide vendor management and oversight in an IT outsourced environment and provide world-class services to the internal client base.

Provides Implementation Management by:

    • Ensures Statement of Work is created, understood and sustained throughout the project by all project stakeholders.
    • Identifies implementation tasks and assigns responsibilities.
    • Provides and maintains a detailed schedule of activities.
    • Ensures that implementation status is communicated to all project stakeholders.
    • Manages project control documents.
    • Sets and meets project expectations.
    • Identifies areas for improvement and provides quality assurance for implementation.

Provides Project Budget Management by:

    • Monitors and reports actual expenses with project budget to customer's Project Manager.
    • Approves invoicing of time for the project.

Provides Executive Level Communication by:

    • Take active part in building a strong team.
    • Understand the importance of and pursue a high degree of customer service.
    • Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills Required

Experience in implementation of an ERP system is required. Either as a consultant or as a customer project manager.

Strong knowledge and experience in one or many of these fields is required:

  • Financials
  • Manufacturing
  • Inventory Control
  • Supply Chain
  • E-Commerce

Strong knowledge of some areas of an ERP application and good knowledge across multiple areas of an ERP application is required.

Candidates ought to be able to envision, conceptualize and verbalize the entire project life cycle through all of its phases. They must be able to develop and execute a total project plan. The candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills to inspire, motivate, resolve conflicts, negotiate and sell the project to both the client and internal management.

Education:

B.Sc. in Operations Management, Finance, Engineering, Accounting, Purchasing, or Supply Chain Management is preferred.

A certification in Production and Inventory Management by APICS or Project Management certification from PMI is a plus.

Job Requirements:

Employment history of successful IT project implementations with ever increasing project scopes using formal PM methodology

Thorough understanding of computer and data communication technologies

Excellent verbal and written communication skills


Candidates should have 10 years of business experience in a systems implementation role. They should have a track record of successful systems implementation.

Demonstrated knowledge of CMMI practices.

Practical experience using NetSuite, SalesForce.com, Siebel, SAP or other similar CRM applications.

Five years experience in managing multiple IT providers in an outsourced services model

Candidates should be a self-starter capable of leading a large team through complex systems implementations. Candidates should be well organized and capable of juggling numerous project priorities

Corporate Guest Services Associate
